Glasno reports from Virginia and Tennessee about the strange events of the past night.The object resembled a cigar. He had a bright red nose and smoke in the rear. The report that matches the description, came from settlements in almost direct line through Tennessee and Virginia and seemed sufficient to convince even the most skeptical.

The first report came from Roanoke about 8 o'clock, when George. S. Mays and W. F. Mullins (both of this town) said they noticed the object.
