Initial data
It is reported that more than two dozen witnesses observed a silver UFO "triangular shape" for almost one hour (from 19 to 20 hours) before it disappeared behind clouds.
One witness, a former air force Lieutenant, said:
"It was semi-transparent, and I thought I could see the blue sky through it, but its edges were white and clearly defined."
A local air force representative at Hanscom Air Force Base acknowledged receiving numerous reports of UFOs, but said none were registered in accordance with current air force policy. The Boston NICAP sub-Committee investigated the case and determined that the UFO in question could have been a weather balloon launched earlier in the evening by a local us weather Bureau station.
