Ilyumzhinov, while still the head of Kalmykia, told about the details of his meeting with aliens in a TV interview with Vladimir Pozner in the spring of this year.

According to him, on September 18, 1997, in the evening he came to a Moscow apartment, read a book, watched TV, was already falling asleep, but then he felt that the balcony had opened and someone was calling.

When Ilyumzhinov approached the balcony, he saw a translucent pipe there and entered it. Inside were people in yellow spacesuits. Communication with humanoids took place at the level of thought, "because there was not enough oxygen." The aliens turned out to be friendly, conducted a tour of the ship and released the Kalmyk leader. They said that they are not ready to meet with the rest of humanity yet, so they do not come into direct contact.

The presidents of the republics that emerged in the post-Soviet space do not really like to talk about their attitude to the topic of aliens and UFOs. The only exception is the President of Kalmykia Kirsan Nikolaevich Ilyumzhinov. On July twenty-second, 2001, Ilyumzhinov made a sensational confession in the program "Face to Face" of the radio station "Svoboda". Three journalists interviewed the president: the presenter of the program Karen Agamirov, the correspondent of the Danish newspaper "Jutland Posten" in Moscow Fleming Rose and Ilya Kolosov from the TVC channel. Fleming Rose: Would you fly into space?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: We have a planet, and Ostap Bender had the idea to hold intergalactic competitions, but, frankly, there is no time now - to space. I flew once already, in September or October 1997. This has already happened. Well, that's enough once. However, not with our Russian spaceships, but with aliens. They took me into space once.

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: Well, they flew in on a plate, took it away, and I was in space for a day.

Karen Agamirov: Did you write about it?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: No, I haven't written yet. Well, I think they just took me for a madman. The time will come - we will write.

Ilya Kolosov: Is it a PR campaign or are you telling the truth?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: Yes, no. I think that maybe my book will be published this year, and there, perhaps, I will describe this moment. Maybe I was sleeping, not sleeping... we have a frank conversation. I say, people fly in a dream, and I flew, was in space, and described everything as if in reality, everything clearly that I saw there.

Karen Agamirov: But before the book is published, at least share with us who it was?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: From my apartment… Arrived, picked up. They were in yellow spacesuits. I remember such a moment: we entered a spaceship, and there was not enough air, oxygen. I was also given a spacesuit, and I did not have time to think that there was not enough air, but a friend - I do not know what to call him - the alien pointed to his chest: here, twist a little, well, adjust the oxygen. Adjusted. And the most interesting thing is that they didn't seem to notice me. I didn't understand why I was hired. That is, they didn't drive specially around the spaceship, they showed it there. The ship was huge. There one of the cabins was in a large football field. There were portholes. And we landed on one of the planets, took some equipment. And everything was told to me in detail, explained by those who drove me, the captain of the ship or who. I remember that I asked to be brought back to Earth faster. Why? Because I had to spend a week of youth self-government in Kalmykia in two days, and I made this request several times. But then they brought me back, and then everything was fine.

 

Fleming Rose: What year was that?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: This is in 1997, at the end of September.

Karen Agamirov: And who are the aliens? What did they look like?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: Well, like humans - that's how they looked.

Karen Agamirov: Healthy, two meters long, how are they often described?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: Yes, no. Don't think of me as a schizophrenic. I'm just saying I've seen them. It's normal how we communicate with you, so that's what I saw. And then I laid it out. Two of my assistants noticed this: Where have you been? It was in the evening. My body left and then came back. But I described everything, and my two assistants noticed my absence.

Karen Agamirov: But in fact there is nothing so strange here. It's not you alone. You're not the first to talk about it. Did they give you any parting words? Programmed for the future?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov: No. Nothing. I still didn't understand, then I walked around for a few days and thought: why was I taken away? And I scolded myself for not asking them questions… But maybe it's not yet time for these extraterrestrial civilizations to meet. By the way, in my book I answer the question whether we need to meet now, I think we don't need to. Morally, we have not yet reached the level where we can meet with these civilizations, with aliens…

On April 26, 2010, when the host of Channel One, Vladimir Pozner, asked Kirsan Ilyumzhinov in his program:

- I have never met a person who himself said that he had been on an alien interplanetary ship. Did this really happen?

- Seriously, yes, it was, - said the head of the Republic of Kalmykia. And he briefly told his amazing story about the first and last contact with representatives of an extraterrestrial civilization that happened in Moscow in his apartment in Leontievsky Lane.

- There were no replays? Posner asked.

- There were no repetitions, - Ilyumzhinov assured.

 

The historic meeting took place late in the evening on September 18, 1997, when Kirsan Nikolaevich went to bed after reading a book and watching TV. And suddenly I noticed that the balcony door opened. Came out. And there's a translucent pipe stretching to the balcony. There are aliens in yellow spacesuits in the tube. Call. The Kalmyk leader flew away with them. On an alien ship, of course.

The transfer of Vladimir Pozner with these downright sensational memories of Kirsan Ilyumzhinov for some reason did not immediately shock the civilized world. And a few days later. And only after Andrei Lebedev, a State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party, drew attention to the revelation that sounded in it. He sent a deputy letter directly to the President of the Russian Federation, where he expressed concern that the head of the Republic of Kalmykia, being a carrier of classified information, could have blurted it out to representatives of an extraterrestrial civilization.

 

After such a "pitch", the Western press has already exploded. Appreciated the sensation. Hundreds of newspapers around the world have recognized that the communication of the President of the republic with aliens is a unique case. But no one understood why he told about it. And in Russia, probably, there will be people who will think: "A strange act for the head of a subject of the Federation."

- Posner asked, I answered, - Ilyumzhinov explained his behavior.

People close to ufology, of course, are aware: the Kalmyk leader is not the first time he talks about his contact with aliens. And they are no longer shaking with delight. Moreover, he does not report anything new. Not everyone knows that for the first time Kirsan Nikolaevich revealed a miracle of revelation on July 22, 2001, speaking on Radio Liberty. 

And no one then, I'm sorry, pulled his tongue with a leading question. Talking about chess prospects himself, he suddenly complained: "Ostap Bender had an idea to hold intergalactic competitions, but, to be honest, there is no time now - into space. At the time of his speech, Kirsan Nikolaevich was already the current president of Kalmykia, elections for the next term - only in a year. He has been president of FIDE for 6 years. And he's not rushing anywhere else. That is, an unexpected and strange revelation is not PR at all. So it's an obsession.

When asked what the aliens looked like, Ilyumzhinov, slightly getting hot and feeling distrust on the part of the presenters, answered:

 

- Well, like humans. That's how they looked.
