A strange little humanoid, killed Valentina Flores' sheep. It happened in Potosi (Bolivia) in1967

In a case that can be considered one of the most horrific in the history of ufology, an unsuspecting Bolivian shepherdess was caring for her flocks of sheep and llamas when a terrifyingly cruel encounter with a creature of unknown origin occurred, which left her literally scarred for life.

In the desolate mountainous areas of the southwestern highlands of Bolivia, not far from the once prosperous city of Potosi, where silver is mined, is the province of Opoco.

In 1967, 24-year-old Valentina Flores and her husband Gumersindo tried to feed themselves on a small plot of land near Opoko. These illiterate Quechua Indians led a secluded life, caring for their land, cattle and little daughter Theodosia.

Neither Valentina nor Gumersindo knew or were interested in the stories about UFOs and their extraterrestrial inhabitants, which were full of newspaper headlines around the world... and absolutely nothing could have prepared Valentina for the horror that she and her child would face in the evening immediately after Easter that year.

Late in the evening that day, Valentina led her flock of sixty-four sheep to a pasture adjacent to the hilly area where the old stone corral was located. It was then that she noticed-to her horror-that the herd of llamas had gone somewhere.

The famous Spanish writer and UFO researcher H. H. Benitez went to Bolivia in 2001 and managed to find Valentina and her husband.

He interviewed a 59-year-old witness, who was amazed that a foreigner could even hear about a terrible meeting that happened to her 34 years ago, and even more so worry about her. Still experiencing this event, Valentina described the scene to him:

"I WAS ALONE THAT DAY. MY HUSBAND WAS HIRED, AND LIKE ALL THE OTHER MEN, HE WAS IN THE PAMPAS, WORKING... IT WAS ABOUT FOUR O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON... I WENT TO LOOK FOR LLAMAS AND THEIR YOUNG. THEY GOT LOST. THEN I GATHERED THE SHEEP AND LAMBS IN ONE PLACE AND WENT TO LOOK FOR ANIMALS."

Having tied Feodosia tightly to her back with a traditional blanket called a manta, Valentina began to chase her llamas and eventually tracked them down in a meadow about forty-five minutes' walk from the field where she had left her sheep. The shepherdess gathered her animals and began to drive them back to the pasture.

The sun was already slowly sinking to the horizon when Valentina returned with the llamas on a leash. This time she was shocked to find that her sheep were nowhere to be found.

Confused and a little annoyed, Valentina left the lamas, and she, along with the dozing Feodosia, followed the tracks of the sheep into the hills. Approaching the stone enclosure, Valentina hesitated, noticing that there was something unusual in this eerily silent structure.

Her attention was attracted by the fact that a spider-like substance was spread out over the stone enclosure, like a tent. The material resembled a plastic mesh that emerged from a pillar-like structure in the center of the pen and seemed to be attached to the stone walls.

Deciding to find out what was going on with her cattle, the young mother pushed her fears into the background and crept closer to the structure. Valentina could barely stifle a sigh of horror when she saw that the ground under the web was littered with the torn carcasses of her family's beloved sheep.

At that moment, movement flashed across Valentina's field of vision, and she saw the childlike creature responsible for the dismemberment of 63 sheep trying to do the same with the last resisting lamb using an oblong tubular device with a razor-sharp hook at one end, which seemed to be attached to it with a chain.

Next to this creature was an open plastic bag full of sheep entrails and organs. Understandably upset, Valentia described the incredible sight that presented itself to her:

"THERE WAS A LITTLE MAN IN THE PEN... HE LOOKED LIKE A CHILD... ON HIS KNEES AND WITH A SHEEP BETWEEN HIS LEGS. THE PEN WAS COVERED WITH SOMETHING LIKE A NET. I PANICKED. THIS MAN HAS KILLED ALL MY ANIMALS."

Valentina describes this mini-killer as young and "chubby". He was about 1 meter tall and was dressed:

"...STRANGE CLOTHES, LIKE A DIVER'S... ONE ONE-PIECE SUIT FROM NECK TO LEGS. THE BOOTS WERE BROWN."

The shepherdess then described the red, crisscrossing straps that X-shaped around the humanoid's chest and supported a large, mechanical-like backpack on his back. Two satchels, similar to bags, were also attached to the sides of the creature.

Valentina drew attention to the strange helmet of the creature, which was crowned with a propeller. Valentina managed to get a good look at his facial features, which she described as follows:

"HE HAD VERY WHITE SKIN, BLOND HAIR, BLUE EYES AND A RED BUSHY MUSTACHE."

Enraged by the mass slaughter staged by this short butcher, Valentina did what anyone could have done in her place. She started spewing curses and throwing stones at this strange sheep thief.

At that moment, the dwarf abruptly stood up, released the last sheep and turned to face his earthly abuser with an expression of shock and fear.

He jumped up to the strange device, which Valentina, with her limited knowledge of technology, later compared to a radio, and pressed a lever in the shape of a wheel at its top, after which the elastic web covering the paddock quickly retracted into the mechanism.

As soon as the tent disappeared, Valentina noticed another almost identical creature standing on the opposite side of the pen. Noticing her, the second creature ran into a nearby hill and sat down on a chair-like device.

Blades popped out of a pair of cylindrical devices behind the chair, which spun and this creature rapidly took off on this apparatus, leaving his colleague to fend for himself.

Then Valentina decided that it was time to get down to business. She took a wooden club with an iron tip from her bag and entered the blood-soaked pen like a gladiator into the arena.

She looked down at the carnage that represented most of her family's livelihood and angrily approached the creature responsible for the destruction. Clearly alarmed, the little man tried to speak to the angry shepherdess in a language she could not understand. She recalled her state of mind at that terrible moment:

"HE WAS TALKING TO ME, BUT I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND HIM. IT WASN'T QUECHUA OR SPANISH. HE WAS JUST AS UPSET AS I. OH, MY GOD! MY ANIMALS! HE KILLED THEM ONE BY ONE! I'M CRAZY."

Valentina rushed at the entity with her club, dealing him a terrible blow:

"I HIT HIM WITH ALL MY MIGHT... I HIT HIM IN THE FACE AND HE STARTED BLEEDING. THE GUY WAS STILL SCREAMING, BUT I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND HIM."

At this moment, the Sheep Killer decided to defend himself by picking up the same cylindrical surgical instrument with a hook with which he gutted sheep.

He threw this weapon at Valentina, cutting her chest and arms. Later, the mother, with an almost undisguised sense of relief, admitted that only a large knot of manta, which supported Feodosia, did not allow the blade to plunge into her chest and deliver a killer blow.

It is worth noting that although most accounts of this battle state that the disembodying hook was used as a boomerang-like weapon, Valentina insisted that it was the chain to which it was attached that automatically pulled the razor-sharp tool back into the creature's hand after each throw.

Without stopping, Valentina struck another blow, hitting the entity's right forearm. The creature screamed in pain, and blood flowed down its motionless wrist.

This lucky strike proved too much for the sheep killer, and he used his still functioning left hand to grab a device similar to a walkie-talkie and rushed to the hillock. There he flew away just like his comrade... and he was never seen again.

Soon after, a detachment of the Bolivian army was sent to the scene, which collected all sixty-three carcasses, as well as samples of the creature's blood spilled by Valentina's baton in the pen.

It was found that the sheep were missing numerous internal and external organs, including eyes, ears, parts of the mouth, as well as belly fat. The authorities also found that most (if not all) of the blood that should have been inside the animals was missing.

The Flores family was forced to leave the region, emigrating first to Oruro and then to the south.

Other ranchers in the area, when questioned by the Bolivian government, claimed to have witnessed other strange events. Some testified that they saw strange people jumping out of the sheep pens and leaving behind bloodless carcasses.

Valentina herself claimed that a few days before her meeting, an invisible man threw a cup of blood in her face... for what purpose, remains unknown until now.

When Benitez interviewed Valentina in 2001, she still did not know what a UFO was, much less an extraterrestrial being. When they tried to explain it to her, she rejected their attempts. It wasn't something she cared about in the least.

But what bothered Valentina - and continued to haunt her in her dreams - was an evil, small, red-haired, mustachioed man who flew into the sky with a bag full of organs, leaving her in a bloody mess, and her family in a state of complete financial collapse.
