Only a feeling of delight and beauty. There was no fear. Everyone was silently looking out the window, and I was whispering "How beautiful!" There was absolute silence.
In the right part of the cone, against the background of the glow, I noticed a ray of pale blue color going into the abyss, the width of which was about 1.10 angular dimensions of the cone. He was slowly shifting from right to left. In the structure of the beam, many small pale blue "waves" were clearly visible. The "waves" consisted, as it were, of short sparse horizontal lines and stood out clearly against the general background of the grandiose glow. no glare, no flashes.
After a minute, looking back, I hurried to take the telescope "Tourist" 20-fold magnification. In the openings of the bluestrade on the roof of the hotel, I found, apparently, an unknown source of moon-yellow color. and if the glow of the cone can be considered of average brightness, then the detected source was very bright.
After 3-4 minutes, the cone of light went out, only a small glowing spot remained above the roofs, and immediately lit up again in the same way, but soon went out again. at this, the phenomenon that lasted 6-7 minutes ended and nothing unusual happened anymore.
The glow presumably originated somewhere in the area of Ave. Veterans. There, I heard, the power supply was interrupted for three days.
