Initial data
Vladimir Vasilyevich Efremov (radio engineer) tells us.
On June 9 or 10, 1981, at about 20-15, in clear calm weather, it was still light, but the Moon was already there, at the zenith I noticed a fast-flying object shaped like an airplane, but not an airplane - I served in the air defense forces and I know the silhouettes of airplanes well.
The flight altitude is about 8-10 km or higher. The visible size of the object is about 6 cm, there was no sound. He flew in a horizontal plane on the South, at a speed higher than that of military aircraft. The color is silver, shiny.
He disappeared behind the roof of the house and when he rounded the house a few seconds later he was gone - he disappeared.
The shape of the object, although it resembled an airplane, was very strange, with disproportionate (for an airplane) structural elements protruding from the "fuselage". The observation time is 3-4 minutes.
Hypotheses
UAV
Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs, also sometimes shortened as BLAH; colloquially sometimes referred to as "drone" or "drone" (from the English. drone — drone)) — aircraft without crew on Board. Created for aerial shooting, monitoring ground objects and other tasks in real time.
Distinguish UAVs for military and civil purposes.
Also they are divided into:
Airplane / Helicopter
An aircraft heavier than air for flights in the atmosphere (and outer space (e.g. An orbital aircraft)), using the aerodynamic lift of a glider to keep itself in the air (when flying within the atmosphere) and the thrust of a power (propulsion) installation for maneuvering and compensating for the loss of total mechanical energy to drag.
A rotorcraft in which the lift and thrust required for flight are created by one or more main rotors powered by an engine or several engines. They differ in maneuverability, the ability to hover and almost vertical takeoff.
Events
