"Excelsis Dei" (from lat. "The glory of the Lord") is the eleventh episode of the second season of the series "Secret materials". The episode refers to the type of "monster of the week" and not the "mythology" of the series.
Many scenes were filmed at Riverview Hospital, a mental hospital located in the city of Richmond (British Columbia). Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully arrive in Worcester (Massachusetts) in a private nursing home called "Excelsis Dei", to investigate the case of a nurse who claimed he was raped by an invisible entity.
