"The music of Erich Zanna," or in another translation "the Music of Erich Canna" (eng. "The Music of Erich Zann") is a short story written by American writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft in 1921 and first published in March 1922 in the journal "The National Amateur".
While studying in Paris, the narrator settles on the street d Osal in the house, where there is also a mute German musician Erich Zann. At night, the main character listens to the music of Zanna. Soon he managed to meet a musician, but after a while Eric starts to avoid him. Then the narrator begins secretly at night listening to mysterious music under the door of the room of the musician.
