"UFO Mission" (orig. "UFO Sweden") is a Swedish science fiction and adventure film of 2022.
According to the filmmakers themselves, this is an "adult adventure film" inspired by such films and TV series as "Very Strange Cases", "True Detective", "X-Files" and "Interstellar".
The action takes place in the Swedish town of Norkoping in 1996. Denise, a teenage rebel placed in foster care, is convinced that her father, who disappeared eight years ago, is not dead, but abducted by a UFO. But no one believes her, and she turns to the local UFO association for help.

Strange events periodically occur in the Swedish town. Some kind of force affects electrical appliances, which sometimes causes light to flicker, light bulbs explode, and the readings of weather sensors are distorted; metal objects at the same time experience a powerful attraction: for example, hanging chandeliers deviate significantly from the vertical.
At the end of the film, it turns out that these phenomena are caused by a "wormhole" sometimes opening nearby, distorting the gravitational field.

In the sky above the town and its environs, red stripes similar to the aurora appear at the moment of the opening of the wormhole. In one of the episodes of the film, the characters see an unidentified object flying through the sky, which later turns out to be an airplane that flew through a wormhole.

The wormhole not only connects space, but also distorts the passage of time. So, the plane that disappeared over the Baltic Sea many years ago reappears in Sweden in 1996. The car falls out of the wormhole a few days before it gets there. People who got into the wormhole in 1996 are first transported to 1988, and then come out in 1998.

Phenomena in artwork: The Alien
Aliens are not shown in the film, however, according to several characters, they are responsible for the appearance of the wormhole. It is also possible that the aliens help the main characters to get through the wormhole and survive.
