Ex-governor Aman Tuleyev revealed the secret of the Kuzbass yeti

The ex-governor of the Kemerovo region, Aman Tuleyev, told how a hoax was created about a snowman allegedly living in the south of Kuzbass.


Tuleyev told the truth in Instagram. He was prompted by another question about whether there is still a yeti in Kuzbass.


Tuleyev noted that the myth did not appear out of the blue – legends about the existence of a two-meter and overgrown with hair giant among the people of Mountain Shoria have been going around for a long time. And although local hunters swear that they saw him, experts on bigfoot from around the world have not yet managed to meet with the yeti. But they seemed to find traces.

"I personally rode a snowmobile to the Azas cave (it is considered the lair of the yeti)," recalls Aman Tuleyev. – You're only going one way for two hours. Well, I came, the cave is like a cave. Impressive, of course, around the ice, stones protrude, but not cozy. It seems that the roof of the cave falls on you. As it should be, a fire was lit in the cave, the meat was torn apart with their hands, mowed down under the primeval ones. Of course, all this is not dry. I did not find any traces of the yeti's habitation in this cave, and I did not dare to go deep into it."

Tuleyev admitted that he himself fueled interest in bigfoot.

"I once told Vladimir Makuta, the head of the Tashtagol district:" We are doing everything to develop Shoria as a resort. And the fact that people went to one million people a year is great, but it's not enough. Why not make Tashtagol and the surrounding area the home of the Yeti?! Let them come and look for you. The district is also profitable: we arrived, we have to pay for everything, eat, spend the night, have fun. The additional money will go to the treasury. It's good...", - he said.

As a result, in 2010, a new holiday was introduced in Gornaya Shoria – the Day of the Bigfoot. It was timed to coincide with the start of the ski season.


A special prize was even established – the authorities promised 1 million rubles to the one who finds the Yeti. Everyone was looking for Bigfoot in the surrounding forests. For example, the boxer and politician Nikolai Valuev came, who climbed into the Azass cave mentioned by Tuleyev. He didn't find the Yeti there, but he did find its trail.

"Of course, no one found the yeti, but Shoria attracted increased attention to herself –" Tuleyev revealed his cards. - Vladimir Nikolaevich (Makuta), you are very smart, cheer up the people. Find someone taller, let them throw off their suit, turn their fur coat inside out, and run around in crowded places, shouting so that tourists notice, but they don't have time to catch them. But of course, then be sure to mark it and let it be silent, do not blurt out too much somewhere. How Makuta got out of it - I don't know, but the interest in bigfoot was heated up."

In conclusion, Aman Tuleyev clarified that he is not the only popularizer of the yeti. So, in the American Oklahoma, the bigfoot festival is also held – there, in order to revive tourism, even the hunting season for him was opened. According to the rules, the yeti must be taken exclusively alive.

"No one in the world has found a snowman yet. But perhaps you should not despair. Maybe he really is wandering around somewhere. Suddenly, you will be able to meet the yeti and write your name in world history, " Tuleyev concluded.
