A resident of Australia was walking along the ocean coast and discovered a mysterious creature that looks like someone's tongue. The post with the find was posted by the Facebook account of the ABC Brisbane TV channel.

According to journalists, Catherine Nguyen (Catherine Nguyen) found a light pink animal with pimples on Moreton island off the South-East coast of Queensland during a holiday with family and friends. The Australian woman contacted a local eco-center to identify the animal, but received no response.

The find was identified by experts from the Queensland Museum. It turned out to be a sea feather of the species Cavernularia obesa-a colonial coral polyp. Scientists have given advice not to touch this creature, as it has eight poisonous tentacles that the polyps use for self-defense and hunting.

Commentators compared the sea feather to the tongue of a mermaid or some other sea creature.
