La testigo se despertó temprano en la mañana, no sabe por qué, y vio una luz blanca brillante, claramente visible a través de la ventana de su habitación. Ella trató de llamar la atención de su esposo sobre este fenómeno, pero él continuó durmiendo firmemente.
Con curiosidad y algo de ansiedad, se levantó de la cama y se acercó a la ventana para mirar más de cerca. Notó que la luz parecía ir hacia la ventana. Su atención atrajo a un árbol al pie de su Jardín.
Una de las ramas más gruesas tenía algo que ella describió como un "pájaro gigante" del Tamaño de un ser humano, o tal vez una figura humana con alas. Muy asustada, volvió a intentar despertar a su esposo, que no se movía y tenía la impresión de que estaba en trance.
Se metió en la cama, y cuando lo hizo, la luz entró en la habitación y se movió a lo largo de la pared hasta que regresó al punto de partida.
La testigo se encontraba en un estado muy nervioso, hasta que al amanecer finalmente se durmió.

Summary: The witness woke up in the early hours of the morning-she isn’t sure why—and caught sight of a brilliant white light clearly visible through her bedroom window. She tried to draw her husband’s attention to the phenomenon, but he stayed resolutely sleep. Curious and somewhat apprehensive she got out of bed and went to the window to take a closer look. She noticed that the light seemed to be coming towards the window. Her attention was drawn to a tree at the foot of her garden. Poised on one of the thicker branches stood a thing which she described as “a giant bird” the size of a man or possibly a human like figure with wings. Badly frightened she tried again to wake up her husband who would not move and gave her the impression of being in a trance. She climbed into bed, and as she did so, a light came into the room and moved along the wall till it had traveled all the way round back to its starting point. The witness remained in a highly nervous state till, as dawn broke, she at last fell asleep.
