En 1999, un père de famille, prénommé Andrew, se baladait en voiture, avec sa famille, sur une route de l’État du Michigan. Alors qu’ils étaient embourbés et qu’il ne voyait pas comment s’en sortir, une force surhumaine les a poussé et sauvé de ce mauvais pas.

A ce moment-là, la fille de cet homme a vu un énorme humanoïde qui avait l’apparence d’un singe. Selon les habitants de la région qu’ils ont questionné, il s’agissait du Bigfoot.

Il raconte :

« C'était en 1999. Ma famille et moi étions en voyage dans le but de fait du camping près de la rivière Asabo, dans le Michigan. Nous avons pris un chemin et nous avons essayé de faire demi-tour avec mon bateau qui se trouvait dans la remorque, tirée par mon pick-up à 2 roues motrices.

L'essieu de la remorque a commencé à s’enfoncer dans le sol, entraînant l’essieu de ma Ford F-150.

Pensant qu’il n’y avait aucun moyen de sortir d’ici et qu’il n’y avait pas de station service, j’ai commencé à paniquer. J'ai arrêté le véhicule puisqu’il s’enfonçait sans cesse. Soudainement ma fille a crié, affirmant qu’il y avait un grand singe !

Soudainement, nous et notre véhicule avons été projeté en avant. J’ai pensé que c’était un garde-chasse ou une autre personne qui nous avait poussés hors de l’endroit où nous étions embourbés. Lorsque je me suis retourné, après avoir réalisé que la voiture était toujours au point mort, je l'ai mis en marche et j’ai pu continuer à avancer. C'était la nuit et je pouvais voir de la vapeur sortir des alentours.

Nous sommes retournés au camping qui se trouvait près du lac, non loin du magasin du barrage, comme on l'appelle. Lorsque nous avons regardé à l'arrière du camion, il y avait deux empreintes de mains géantes, trois fois plus grandes que les miennes.

Ma fille a dit qu'elle avait vu un singe géant en train de nous regarder à travers la vitre arrière de la camionnette.

Nous lui avons dit que nous la croyions et sommes allés au magasin du camping le lendemain matin pour montrer aux habitants ces empreintes. Ils ont pris des photos et nous ont dit que nous avions rencontré le Bigfoot local. Lorsque les Rangers sont venus enquêter, comme nous les avions appelés, ils ont ri et nous ont dit la même chose, comme s’ils savaient qu’il existait un Bigfoot dans la région.

Nous avons été époustouflés, c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire. »

It was 1999. Myself and my family were on a camping trip near the Asabo Michigan
river when I went down a fire trail and try to turn around with my boat in
tow and my 2 wheel drive truck.

The axle of the boat trailer got stuck on some slack saplings and it sunk my axle of my F-150 in the sand.
Thinking there’s no way I’m going to get out of here and no self service, I
started to panic. I put the truck in neutral because it was digging us
deeper, when suddenly my daughter yelled big monkey! We launched
forward and I had thought that a game warden or someone had pushed us out. Unbeknownst to us as I turned, as I had realized that the truck was still in neutral, I put it in drive and continue to move forward. It was the night and I could see the steam coming out of a giant pile of poop.

We drove back to the campground on the lake near
the dam store, as it is called. When we looked at the back of the truck there
were two giant poopy handprints three times the size of my hands.

My daughter said that there was a giant monkey looking in the back window of the pickup truck, looking at her.

We told her we believed her and went to the campground store the next morning to show them the prints. They took pictures and told us that we had met the local Bigfoot. When the Rangers came to
investigate, as we had called them, they laughed and said the same thing, as
though it was common knowledge to them that there was a Bigfoot in the area.

We were blown away, to say the least.
