La tripulación del biplano civil local an-2, volando sobre un terreno remoto en la Taiga desierta del distrito autónomo del sureste de la región de Tyumen, notó accidentalmente una cosa extraña: un agujero redondo en el Suelo con nieve derretida y árboles caídos. Obviamente, algo en el bosque se estrelló. El hallazgo fue notificado a los militares.
Un equipo de búsqueda militar en helicóptero fue enviado a la escena.
En el lugar del accidente se encontró un objeto en forma de disco parcialmente sumergido en el Suelo que arrancó varios árboles y dejó montones de tierra en el Suelo.
Afortunadamente para el equipo de rescate, el objeto era visible a medida que la nieve se derritía a su alrededor, lo que indicaba que estaba emitiendo calor.
El disco en sí era una lente de forma convexa de Tamaño bastante pequeño, aproximadamente 2,5 metros de diámetro. En la mitad superior del disco había 8 protuberancias cónicas (o triangulares) incrustadas en la estructura o el cuerpo. La parte superior del disco también estaba separada por una línea o costilla de un borde al otro.
Usando una suspensión para un helicóptero, y en condiciones de alto secreto, el disco finalmente se trasladó a la gran ciudad siberiana de Novosibirsk, en el Instituto de investigación científica (según los rumores, el disco todavía se almacena allí).
Después de la investigación, se determinó que el disco era una sonda extraterrestre no tripulada: no había tripulación a bordo. El objeto se estrelló en el área alrededor de finales de 1968, según datos de vigilancia remota.
Las autoridades soviéticas han clasificado este incidente.

Summary: The crew of a local civilian AN-2 biplane flying over a remote area in unpopulated taiga in southeastern autonomous of Tyumen Province accidentally noticed a strange thing like a round hollow area on the ground with melted snow around it and fallen trees. Obviously something had crashed in the forest. The military was notified about the finding. A military search team was sent to the location for investigation purposes in a helicopter. At the crash site a disk-shaped object was found, partially imbedded into the soil that tore several trees and left heaps of dirt on the ground. Fortunately for the recovery team the object was visible since the snow was melting around it, an indication that it was emanating heat. The disk itself was lens convex-shaped quite small, approximately 2.5 meters in diameter. On the upper half the disk had 8 cone-shaped (or triangle shaped) protrusions imbedded in the structure or the hull. The upper section of the disk was also separated by a line or rib from one edge to the other. Using suspension under the helicopter, and in top-secret conditions the disk was eventually transported to the large Siberian city of Novosibirsk, to the scientific research institute (the disk still being held there). After study, it was established that the disk was an extraterrestrial non-piloted probe; it did not have a crew onboard. As was established by remote viewing, the object crashed in the area approximately at the end of 1968. Soviet officials classified the matter top-secret.
