En el USS Reclaimer ARS-42, ubicado frente a la costa de Guam, se produjo un evento submarino que aparentemente fue rastreado por un radar en Guam en algún momento.
El observador de estribor informa sobre el contacto. Luego vieron una sola luz roja intermitente que cambió ligeramente el rumbo y luego coincidió con ellos.
Las autoridades de Guam reconocieron que también estaban rastreando algo y enviaron un F-14 a investigar.
Esta cosa se aceleró, salió del agua, y el F-14 inmediatamente pasó a un rápido y furioso. El objeto se adelantó fácilmente al avión a reacción, cruzó el horizonte en segundos mientras estaba bajo el agua sin rastro visible.

Summary: The USS Reclaimer ARS-42 while off Guam, had an underwater event that apparently was tracked by radar on Guam at some point. The starboard lookout report a contact. What they then saw was a single red flashing light which changed course a little and then parallelled them. Guam control acknowledged that they too were tracking something and were sending a wild weasel F-14 to investigate. This thing, now a USO, accelerated and the F-14 went to full afterburner right off the deck. The USO pulled easily ahead of the jet, crossed the horizon in seconds while underwater with no visible wake.
