Valeriano verdugo, acompañado por su esposa y su hijo pequeño, viajaba en un camión por un tramo aislado de la carretera cuando observaron a un hombre extraño a un lado de la carretera que parecía hacer autostop.
El hombre llevaba un gran sombrero de paja, grandes guantes blancos y llevaba un maletín "muy moderno" que los testigos nunca habían visto antes. Este hombre tenía unos 40 años, era de baja estatura, estaba bien doblado y llevaba un abrigo oscuro.
El testigo estaba algo desconcertado por qué se detuvo para recoger al hombre, de alguna manera se sintió obligado a hacerlo.
El extraño se subió al auto y se quitó el sombrero. Durante el viaje, habló, planteando diferentes temas. A las preguntas, sus respuestas fueron breves y evasivas. Verdugo estaba nervioso durante el viaje, pero no se asustó.
A lo largo del viaje, tres inexplicables luces rojas y amarillas se movieron sobre el camión del testigo. Estas luces aparentemente desaparecieron en el momento en que el extraño salió del camión.
En un momento dado, verdugo intentó abordar el tema de los Ovnis en la conversación, pero el extraño parecía desinteresado y negó cualquier conocimiento del tema. Finalmente, un extraño pidió que lo liberaran en una zona boscosa cerca del pueblo de la Reforma. El terreno estaba completamente desierto y boscoso. Más tarde, cuando verdugo se detuvo para una Barbacoa más adelante en la carretera, vio que las mismas luces rojas y amarillas desaparecían en la distancia hacia el sur.

Summary: Valeriano Verdugo accompanied by his wife and young son were traveling by truck along an isolated stretch of highway when they noticed a strange man on the side of the road that appeared to be hitching a ride. The man wore a large straw hat, large white gloves and was carrying a “very modern” briefcase, the type never seen before by the witnesses. The man was described as about 40-years old, short, well built and wearing a dark coat. The witness was somewhat perplexed as to the reason why he had stopped to pick up the man, somehow he felt compelled to do so. The stranger sat in the vehicle and took off his hat. During the trip he engaged in conversation, bringing up different topics. When questioned, his answers were short and evasive. Verdugo felt nervous during the trip but was not frightened. During the entire journey, three unexplained red-yellow lights appeared to pace the witness’s truck. These lights apparently disappeared the moment the stranger exited the truck. At one point Verdugo attempted to bring up the subject of UFOs in the conversation, but the stranger seemed disinterested and denied any knowledge of the subject. The stranger finally asked to be let out in a wooded area near a little town called La Reforma. The area was completely desolate and wooded. Later as Verdugo stopped for a barbeque further down the road he saw the same red-yellow lights disappear in the distance towards the south.
