Aproximadamente a las 9:45 pm de la noche del jueves 29 de diciembre de 1994, la madre (con seis hijos) conducía hacia el Norte por Zaring Cut-Off Road en el sureste del estado de Washington, a solo 5 millas al Norte del río Snake.
Varios de sus hijos de repente comenzaron a gritar y llamaron la atención de su madre sobre tres luces extremadamente brillantes sobre un campo de trigo recién cosechado en el lado derecho (este) de la carretera. Al principio pensaron que estas luces eran las luces de aterrizaje de un avión de pasajeros de baja Altitud que pudo haber hecho un aterrizaje forzoso en el campo y voló directamente hacia ellos. Entonces, uno de los niños mayores sugirió que eran los faros del "semi" (camión de 18 ruedas), pero casi de inmediato se dieron cuenta de que esa descripción tampoco encajaba.
De repente, la familia comenzó a ver objetos Unidos a tres Fuentes de luz, ¡y se sorprendieron con esa visión! Vieron tres naves deltoides negras de carbón con estructuras articuladas en la nariz de las cuales emanaban luces cegadoras. Parece que estaban escaneando el Suelo frente a ellos.
Los objetos, aparentemente confinados en una línea densa e inquebrantable, cruzaron lentamente la carretera (y el automóvil) a muy baja velocidad, giraron lentamente a la izquierda (hacia el sur) y se movieron hacia el sur en paralelo a la carretera por la que caminaba la familia.
La madre presentó un excelente informe de tres páginas junto con un dibujo de una de las artesanías que supuestamente presenció esa noche. Además, proporcionó un dibujo detallado del terreno y una trayectoria aproximada de los objetos.
La madre informó que los objetos estaban justo encima de su automóvil, emitían un zumbido apenas perceptible ("... como un refrigerador eléctrico...") y estaban lo suficientemente cerca como para que "una persona con una buena mano arrojadiza pudiera alcanzarlos»
Cuando hablé con ella el 1 de enero de 1995 (nuestra primera llamada del año), parecía que todavía estaba molesta por la experiencia. Informó que tenía miedo de ponerse al volante o incluso salir al aire libre después del anochecer, lo que no es raro entre las personas que recientemente sobrevivieron a un encuentro con Ovnis.

At approximately 2145 hours on Thursday night, December 29, 1994, a mother (with her six children) was driving north on the Zaring Cut-Off Road in southeastern Washington State, just 5 miles north of the Snake River. Several of her children suddenly started shouting and called the mother’s attention to three extraordinarily bright lights above a recently harvested wheat field off to the right (east) side of the road. At first, they thought the lights were the landing lights of an airliner at low altitude, perhaps making a forced landing in the field, and flying directly toward them. Then one of the older children suggested the lights were the headlights on a “semi” (an 18-wheel truck), but they almost immediately realized that description didn’t fit, either.
Suddenly, the family began to see the objects that were attached to the three lights, and they were awed by the vision! They saw three coal-black, delta-shaped craft, with articulating structures on their noses, from which the blinding lights were radiating. They appeared to be scanning the ground ahead of them. The objects, apparently locked in tight, unwavering formation, slowly drifted across the road (and car) at very low speed, slowly turned left (south), and proceeded south parallel to the road the family was on.
The mother submitted an excellent 3-page report, together with a drawing of one of the crafts she reportedly witnessed that night. In addition, she submitted a detailed drawing of the area and the approximate flight path of the objects.

The mother reported that the objects were right above their car, they gave off a barely perceptible humming sound (“…like an electric refrigerator…”), and they were close enough that a “person with a good throwing arm could have hit them with a rock.” When I talked with her on January 01, 1995, (Our first call of the year), she was still seemingly upset by the experience. She volunteered that she was frightened to either drive or even go outside, after dark, which is not uncommon among people who have had recent UFO experiences.
