Todo Hawai habló de eso. Incluso los periódicos ... lo mencionaron.
Testigo a la edad de 51 años, propietario de una pequeña empresa (Departamento de ventas y marketing) informa:
Estábamos sentados en la playa junto a la fogata porque mis amigos y yo teníamos cumpleaños compartidos cuando vi estas luces en dirección a Maui desde el lado de Oahu. Pensé que se dirigían al aeropuerto aquí en Maui, pero estas luces brillantes giraron lentamente y se dirigieron a lo largo de la playa de Kihei .
Tenían la forma de un objeto octogonal, pero se parecían a un tubo largo.
Aproximadamente 2/3 de longitud ... había una brecha en el objeto y luego había un segundo (el mismo tubo de 8 lados) al lado ... no parecía atado, pero podría haber sido, y cuando pasó.
Vi muchas luces parpadeantes volando alrededor del final del objeto. Hubo lluvias de meteoros anuales de agosto y se pudieron ver sobre este objeto.
Parecía translúcido ... eso significa que pudimos ver a través de él, pero tenía luces junto con una forma hexagonal ... como se describe. Pero me pareció que a través de una figura larga se podían ver las estrellas... estaba delineada por una luz de neón brillante, pero a través de ella se podía ver.
Fue enorme y todos estábamos muy alertas y me asusté. No es fácil asustarme.
Lentamente voló frente a nosotros, luego giró a la izquierda y voló sobre la cima de Haleakala... y luego escuchamos más tarde (de otras personas aquí en Maui) desde el otro lado y luego desaparecieron. Todo el estado zumbó de esto durante varios días, luego el silencio ... excepto que estamos juntos. Lo llamamos "Mirada".
Tenía buenos amigos que hacían una hoguera justo en la montaña, y vieron lo mismo.
Soy un representante de ventas entre las islas, y unos días más tarde... mientras volaba en Kauai, me encontré en un avión con alguien que dijo que habían visto lo mismo en Kauai que muchos otros allí.
En la apertura del sitio de supercomputación (en parte militar) unas semanas más tarde, le pregunté a un representante de la compañía LArge Telescope por qué no admitirían lo que todos hemos visto aquí en Hawai ... hubo un OVNI, después de dos breves respuestas de distracción a mis preguntas recurrentes ... finalmente lo dijo ... porque el público no podía aceptar las noticias.
La segunda observación en mi vida, hace muchos años, en la parte posterior de Maui, en Kanayo, estaba en la Bañera de hidromasaje, puse mi cabeza en la repisa de la Bañera, y vi tres luces volando sobre el borde del lago Cráter Haleakala. Eran luces azules.
Los observé mientras volaban por encima ... unos minutos y luego de repente se pusieron ROJOS y avanzaron muy rápido y luego desaparecieron.

We were sitting on the beach with a fire, for mine and pals shared birthdays when I saw these lights headed towards Maui from the direction of Oahu. I thought they were headed towards the airport here on Maui, but these bright lights turned and headed along the Kihei beach, slowly.
It was shaped like an eight-sided object —but long tube-like. About 2/3rds along the length… there was a break in the object, and then there was a second (same 8 sided shape tube) closely behind it..didn’t look connected, but it could have been–and as it passed I saw many darting lights flying around the end of the object. There were the annual August meteor showers, and you could see them above this object. It seemed to be translucent..meaning we could see through it, but it had lights all along with the six-sided shape..outlined like. But I thought I could see stars through the long shape…It was like it was outlined in bright neon light, but you could see through it.
It was huge, and we all got really alert, and I was scared. I don’t scare easily.
It flew slowly in front of us–then turned left, and flew over the top of Haleakala…and then we heard later (from other people here on Maui) down the other side and then gone. The whole state was abuzz with this for a few days, then silence…except for those that we’re together. We call it “The Sighting”.
I had good friends having a bonfire directly up the mountain from where we were, and they saw the exact same thing.
I am an inter-Island sales rep–and a few days later..flying to Kauai, I met someone on the plane who said that they had seen the same thing on Kauai, and so did many others there.
At the opening of the Super Computer site (partial military) open house a few weeks later–I asked a representative from the LArge Telescope company–why they don’t admit that what we all saw here in Hawaii..was a UFO–after two short diverting answers to my repetitive questioning..he finally said..because the public couldn’t handle the news.
The second sighting in my life—-Many years earlier–on the backside of Maui–up in Kanaio, I was in a hot tub and laid my head back on the ledge of the tub–and saw three lights flying over the rim of the Haleakala Crater. They were blue lights. I watched them, as they traveled just over head…for a few minutes.then they all of a sudden turned RED and moved very very quickly forward, and then disappeared.
