Datos iniciales
26 de marzo de 2000 Hora: 20: 30. Lugar: Sudbury, Ontario. Tiempo: Claro.
Mi colega Todd Fraser decidió acortar su visita, así que la acompañé afuera, y mientras los dos estábamos allí hablando, accidentalmente miré al cielo (aproximadamente 90 grados) y noté algo extraño en el cielo. Vi lo que parecía un destello brillante * y luego apenas noté el segundo por el rabillo del ojo.
Mientras Todd estaba mirando, le dije que iba arriba a buscar binoculares. Cuando regresé, dijo que había visto dos destellos más y me dijo que apuntara los binoculares hacia la Osa mayor (de sur a Norte). Todd dijo que las bengalas parecían volar allí en línea recta. Seguí mirando hacia arriba, pero no los volví a ver.
En total, estimamos que hemos visto cuatro destellos en diferentes puntos del cielo. Eran similares, pero más brillantes que los que vi en el verano de 1991.
* Llamo a estas luces "puentes" porque parece que parpadean una vez en un lugar, luego vuelven a parpadear en otro lugar ... a veces por tercera o cuarta vez y luego desaparecen para siempre. Estas no son luces de avión, helicóptero o satélite.

March 26, 2000: Evening sighting. Time: 8:30 p.m. Location: Sudbury, Ontario. Weather: Clear. My colleague Todd Fraser decided to cut his visit short, so I accompanied him outside and as we both stood there talking, I happened to look up in the sky (approx. 90 degrees) and spotted something strange in the sky. I saw what looked like a single bright flash*, then barely noticed a second one from the corner of my eye. As Todd looked on, I told him I was going upstairs to get my binoculars. When I came back, he said he'd seen two more flashes and told me to point my binoculars in the direction of the Big Dipper (south to north). Todd said the flashes seemed to be heading that way in a straight line. I kept looking up but never saw them again. In total, we estimate we saw four flashes at different points in the sky. These looked similar, but brighter than those I had seen during the summer of 1991.
* I call these lights "Jumpers" because they seem to flash once in one spot, then flash again somewhere else...sometimes a third or fourth time, then disappear for good. These are not the lights of an aircraft, helicopter or satellite.
