Информация взята из книги опубликованной в 1608 году в городе Труа в которой описывается это событие. Брошюра называется: "Потрясающие события наблюдаемые в Италии в августе 1608 г."
В начале августа 1608 года, жители итальянского города Генуя наслаждались прекрасной летней погодой и на побережье отдыхало много народа, когда вдруг начали происходить невероятные события. В небе над морем появились три летающих объекта вытянутой и овальной формы, которые приблизились и зависли на укреплениями береговой крепости.
Затем все три объекта опустились к самой поверхности воды у берега и вода под ними стала кипеть, поднимая желто-оранжевый пар. Причем по словам очевидцев все это действие сопровождалось ужасающим грохотом. На набережной собралась целая толпа наблюдавшая за происходящим.
Окутанные клубами желтого пара летательные аппараты продолжали висеть над водой, когда из одного корабля показались две человекоподобные фигуры, одетые в странные костюмы красного цвета, а еще один пришелец был похож на женщину но был весь покрыт блестящими чешуйками, цвета серебра и с головой как у дракона.
Фигуры в красных костюмах, имели огромные круглые головы, на которых не было ничего кроме двух больших круглых отверстий похожих на блестящие глаза. Фигура у них была странная, руки торчали в разные стороны и по словам очевидцев были издалека похожи на весы.
Эти странные пришельцы, держали в руках какие-то длинные трубки похожие на змей, так как они извивались и шли от рук к тому месту где у человека располагается пупок, а затем так же держа трубки вертикально, они прыгнули в воду и несколько часов плавали вокруг своих кораблей, то опускаясь под воду, то поднимаясь на поверхность.
Дамы падали в обморок, многие из жителей бросились в церковь, что бы вознести молитвы господу, а солдаты располагавшиеся в крепости получили команду открыть огонь из пушек по дьявольским созданиям. Крепостная артиллерия произвела 800 выстрелов по непрошеным гостям, но те даже не обратили внимания на грохот пушек и продолжали плавать у своих кораблей, а ядра пушек не нанесли ни пришельцам, ни их кораблям никакого вреда.
При всем при этом, они абсолютно игнорировали собравшуюся на берегу толпу местных жителей, а затем вышли из воды и залезли в свои летательные машины, которые после этого взлетели в воздух, быстро набрали скорость и скрылись на горизонте. Через несколько дней один из этих летающих кораблей появился над рыбацким поселком Мартигусс, который располагался неподалеку от Ниццы.
