Éramos el único automóvil en un largo tramo de carretera rural entre París y Mackenzie (Tennessee). Era un domingo por la noche y mi compañero de Cuarto y yo estábamos regresando a la Universidad. Hablamos y escuchamos la Radio. De repente, vimos rayas de luz que emanaban de la parte superior de nuestro parabrisas. No hubo ruido. Desde el interior del coche, no pudimos ver la fuente de luz.
No había otros autos en ambas direcciones. Detuvimos el auto en la carretera y salimos.
Justo encima de nuestra máquina había un disco redondo con ventanas. Tenía una cúpula elevada "cabina" en el centro de la mitad superior. Flotaba y giraba sin esfuerzo a unos 200 pies (60,9 m) sobre nosotros. Hizo un zumbido silencioso. Las chispas de luz se detuvieron. Las luces parpadeaban alrededor de los bordes del objeto.

We were the only car on a long stretch of rural highway between Paris and McKenzie, Tennessee. It was a Sunday night and my roommate and I were returning to college. We were talking and listening to the radio. Suddenly, we saw streaks of light coming from the top of our windshield. There was no noise. From inside the car, we could not see the source of the light.
There were no other cars coming in either direction. We stopped the car on the road and got out. Directly above our car was a round disc-like object with windows. It had a raised dome “cock’pit” in the center of the top half. It was hovering and spinning effortlessly about 200 feet directly above us. It made a quiet whirring noise. The sparks of light had stopped. There were lights flashing on and off around the edges of the object.
We watched for approximately two minutes as the object stayed right above us and our car. Suddently, the object went from standing still to a startling speed in 1 or 2 seconds. It was several miles away and made a 90 degree turn to the east without ANY loss of speed. My roommate and I got back in our car to finish our journey to school. We were speechless for about 10 minutes. That night on the 10 o’clock news, it was reported that there were identical sightings of the same object in six different states.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
"No. The closeness of the object made it very easy to see. The most startling thing was the extreme speed it reached within 1-2 seconds and the 90 degree turn it made without any loss of velocity."
