Мы были единственной машиной на длинном участке сельской дороги между Парижем и Маккензи (штат Теннесси). Был вечер воскресенья, и мы с соседом по комнате возвращались в колледж. Мы разговаривали и слушали радио. Внезапно мы увидели полосы света, исходящие от верхней части нашего лобового стекла. Шума не было. Изнутри машины мы не могли видеть источник света.
Других машин в обоих направлениях не было. Мы остановили машину на дороге и вышли.
Прямо над нашей машиной был круглый диск с окнами. Он имел приподнятый купол «кокпит» в центре верхней половины. Он без особых усилий парил и вращался примерно в 200 футах (60,9 м) над нами. Он издал тихий жужжащий звук. Искры света прекратились. По краям объекта мигали огни.

We were the only car on a long stretch of rural highway between Paris and McKenzie, Tennessee. It was a Sunday night and my roommate and I were returning to college. We were talking and listening to the radio. Suddenly, we saw streaks of light coming from the top of our windshield. There was no noise. From inside the car, we could not see the source of the light.
There were no other cars coming in either direction. We stopped the car on the road and got out. Directly above our car was a round disc-like object with windows. It had a raised dome “cock’pit” in the center of the top half. It was hovering and spinning effortlessly about 200 feet directly above us. It made a quiet whirring noise. The sparks of light had stopped. There were lights flashing on and off around the edges of the object.
We watched for approximately two minutes as the object stayed right above us and our car. Suddently, the object went from standing still to a startling speed in 1 or 2 seconds. It was several miles away and made a 90 degree turn to the east without ANY loss of speed. My roommate and I got back in our car to finish our journey to school. We were speechless for about 10 minutes. That night on the 10 o’clock news, it was reported that there were identical sightings of the same object in six different states.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
"No. The closeness of the object made it very easy to see. The most startling thing was the extreme speed it reached within 1-2 seconds and the 90 degree turn it made without any loss of velocity."
