Rob Carlson went to the river in the village of Whitmore with friends to catch catfish. For about an hour they set traps in the river, intending to return in the morning for fish.
When they were busy setting up traps, they heard a scream. At first it was like the cry of a wild man in the bushes right next to them.
In a panic, the witnesses ran. When they reached the top of the hill, following a small path, they found themselves at a bend in the path. As they entered the turn, they all stopped dead.
An 8ft (2.4 m) tall man was walking along the path, heading straight for them. He was naked except for the cloth around his waist.
They turned and ran back to the river. As he stumbled over the embankment wall, a giant woman stepped out from behind a tree. It must have been at least seven feet (2.1 m) high.
Turning down the river, they ran until they were safely out of the ravine. Giant footprints were found at the site.

An 8-foot tall man was walking down the trail, heading right for them. He was naked except for a cloth around his waist. They turned and ran back to the river. As he stumbled down the side of the embankment, a giant woman stepped out from behind a tree. She must have been at least seven feet tall. Turning downriver they ran until they came out of the ravine safely. Giant footprints were found at the site.
