In 1999, I worked at a state park in Pennsylvania and got to know its backsides pretty well, areas that most tourists don't see.
About a mile from the park, on a long dirt road, there was a large clearing in the woods, cleared for power lines and the use of gas wells. Once you get to this place, you will have to go through a long hill until you reach an old abandoned trail. If you follow this challenge, you will fall deep into the forest.
I followed it once and found that it led to an old dilapidated cabin (there is no record of cabins in the park) and it looks like it hasn't been used in many decades. Even though it was daylight, I still had the eerie feeling that I shouldn't be here, and even worse... something was watching my every move.
A few weeks later, when I wasn't at work, two of my friends and I were just driving around the streets enjoying a summer night, and since I knew all the back roads, I took them on a kind of tour.
(Note: None of these roads are closed or secret, so I didn't break any rules.)
Apart from this mysterious hut, the park has no secrets. Around 23: 00 I came to a familiar clearing and mentioned something about an old hut. Being a brave man, I persuaded them to let me show them the cabin, so I grabbed my flashlight and we went down the hill along the path leading to the cabin.
I took the lead and we were halfway there when suddenly my light illuminated something to the right of the trail.
Almost immediately I stopped and said:
"You just saw it»
To which they responded:
"Saw what?»
When I turned the light back to the right side of the road, I said:
"THIS !!»
Standing by the tree was a creature that can only be seen in science fiction movies. He had grayish-olive skin and very thin skin. His calves and forearm muscles were very large, as were his chest. The face was the strangest, as it had the typical alien shape of a gray head, but no mouth. He had a long and thin nose, but no longer than his " chin." The eyes glowed with a reddish light, but not the size of most known aliens... very small even by human standards.
I don't like to make this mention for fear of questioning my sanity, but my best description was similar to what the "Bandits" from the Popeye cartoon looked like. He leaned oddly against a tree, as if you were leaning on a chair with only one hand.
Immediately everyone wanted to leave, but as soon as we turned, my flashlight went out. My friends advised me to stop messing with it and turn the lights back on, to which I informed them that I wasn't connecting them with them, and to keep moving now that I was behind the group. I frantically kept hitting the flashlight, trying to get it to work again.
As soon as he returned, I immediately turned around to light him up behind us. The creature had moved up considerably and was now on the left. We hurried to the clearing, and when we got back up the hill and onto the main dirt road, things got even worse.
From the forest through which we had just come came this shrill, blood-curdling shriek, which, when it began, others began to "respond" from the other side of the clearing. The fact that I was a park ranger, had been in the woods all my life, and had a degree from Pennsylvania in wildlife management, which means I've heard a lot of noises in the wild, but I've never heard that sound before. I know it wasn't an owl or a lynx, a bear, a bird, a porcupine... you know.
I once told my father about the encounter, and he told me that it could have been chupacabras (which I had never heard of before and, as far as extraterrestrials are concerned, never believed it until recently).
Months passed without incident ... Except that I couldn't shake the feeling of "I'm watching you." I was close to feeling like I was being followed.
One night I was going to get something from my truck when I looked into the woods and saw these reddish glowing eyes staring at me in the shadows. I immediately ran into the house and grabbed my biggest knife (I; I'm not a squire), to which Dad asked me what I was doing. I told him I was tired of feeling like I was being followed and I was going to face it. He told me he was coming with me (but all the time I knew he never really believed me or my meeting).
When we got outside, he asked casually: "Well, where did you see that?" and I pointed to the spot where he pointed his flashlight. Much to his disbelief, it was true, and as soon as the light hit, he was swept deep into the forest.
My father, a former Marine who proudly served in Vietnam, yelled at me to go back to the house with fear... fear in his voice. where did you see this? To this day, it still scares me to talk about this encounter, and my hands shake even as I type and recall it all. I'm in my 30s now, with my wife and kids, but even now, when I go out at night, I still feel like I'm being watched to the point where when I have a really strong feeling, my wife won't let me leave the house without her.
As a side note... during the first 5 years of our relationship, she also saw this creature, but mostly because it went into the shadows. As an additional note, if anyone doubts this, there were no drugs, alcohol, or any other substances present during this or any other meeting I had.

Out of woods we had just come through was this high pitched blood curdling screeching noise which, after it started, others started to ‘answer’ back from the other side of the clearing. The fact that I was a Park Ranger, had been in the woods all my live and had my degree from Penn State in wildlife management means I’ve heard a lot of noises in the wild, but have never heard that sound before. I know it wasn’t any kind of owl or bobcat, bear, bird, porcupine…you get the drift. To this day it still creeps me out telling this encounter and my hands shake even while typing while recalling it all. I am now in my 30’s with a wife and kids but even now, when I go outside at night, I still feel watched to the point that when I get a real strong feeling my wife won’t let me leave the house without her. Just as a side note…for the first 5 years of our relationship she too would catch sight of this creature, but mostly as it was going into the shadows.
