Michelle and her friend were hiking on a remote trail called the "Ice Age Trail" when she broke up with her friend and moved on.
Soon, about 50 feet (15 m) away, she saw a flash of traffic ahead. It was a blue-gray figure moving toward her along the path. His first impression was that it was someone in a blue jacket. Suddenly, the blue figure slid to the right and disappeared into the trees.
It didn't seem to be walking, but rather showing a smooth gliding motion. Before he slipped away, the blue figure seemed to change direction. As he turned, the witness noticed a long blue plume of something waving from behind his head.
Startled, she turned to her friend, who had come up behind her. She told him what she had seen, and they both went to investigate the way it had disappeared into the bushes.
There was nothing to be seen.
