The witness was driving along Route 138 with his father to the dog track when, a few hundred yards from the track on the right side of the road, leaning against the guardrail, they saw a rather strange-looking man.
His clothes looked old, dirty, and dusty. His skin was a pale gray. What stood out most was his hair, which was very dry, thin and brittle, sticking out strangely at the sides.
When they reached the dog trail, they realized that there would be no matinee that day, so they turned around and headed back to the place where they had seen the strange man, but he was no longer there. It had only been a few minutes, so he couldn't go either way or get anywhere at all.

They arrived at the dog track and realized that there was no matinee that day so they turned around and headed back to the spot where they had seen the odd man, but he was gone. It had only been minutes later so he couldn’t have possibly walked in either direction and made it anywhere
