The witness was asleep when something about extraterrestrials was suddenly mentioned to him in a dream.

He woke up with his head cocked to the side and saw a humanoid figure hovering over the door in the corner of his bedroom. He sat up, and he could still see the humanoid form, although in a change of orientation (this ruled out possible eye phenomena), he stared at the figure for a few seconds, then moved towards it, waving his arms.
