Are big Clavicles attacking chupacabras? Residents of the village of Bolshye Klyuchishchi suffered from the raids of stray dogs all last summer. Moreover, they compare these animals with the mythical monster chupacabra (literally - "goat vampire" - a creature unknown to science - ed.). People claim that "bloodsuckers" appear out of nowhere, penetrate into carefully closed sheds and cattle, mostly goats, do not eat, but only drink blood. Moreover, according to the villagers, the dogs do not look thin and hungry. On the night of May 13, the bolsheklyuchishchenskie "vampires" opened a new bloody season, the first victim was a cattle on the farmstead  Irina Petrova.

Irina's friend Oksana Shabalina called the editorial office (by the way, her goats and rabbits were also torn last summer), with despair in her voice, the woman asked us to come and do something. We decided to look into the situation on the spot. First we went to the Petrovs' house.

- Here, admire! - The tearful hostess points with her hand towards the barn.

The sight that opened our eyes is clearly not for the faint of heart. Apparently, at night, a real massacre took place here: the corpses of chickens mixed with rabbits, a little further away in the garden — three dead goats with torn bellies and spilled intestines. The cages were gnawed, the slate with which the shed was closed was knocked out, the latches on the cages were torn out with nails, and the iron bars on them were spread apart, as if by the hands of a strongman. All sorts of mystical stories about chupacabras really come to mind here and, for some reason, I, a man far from superstitious, want to cross myself. Irina, who drank two bottles of corvalol overnight, is now more or less calm, and a few hours ago, as she herself says, she was just shaking with fear and grief, because the loss of cattle in a peasant family is a big trouble.

— One such goat costs 8 thousand rubles, she gave 5 liters of milk— - the hostess sobs. – I almost had a heart attack. Who will reimburse me for this?! Nobody!

(Looking ahead, I will say that the settlement administration explained to us that the damage could be paid by the person whose dog caused it, and since the dogs are stray, there is no one to ask).

According to the woman, she heard a growl in the yard at night (there is no dog of her own), opened the door and saw two huge dogs, woke up her husband. Looking through the open door of the barn, we saw six more pieces of hefty dogs that began to pounce on the man. Barely the owners managed to snatch one goat from their mouths. Now Zaya (that's the name of the rescued one) has not yet recovered from stress, she lies quietly and practically does not react to anything.

The Petrovs are the first victims this year, last summer there were about twenty similar families. Chickens, rabbits, goats, turkeys, sheep, turkeys and even calves from the farm became victims of bloodthirsty dogs. They attacked day and night, and on the outskirts of the village, and in the center.

— There was a boom all summer, - says Oksana Shabalina, - a resident of the village, grandfather Nikolai Myshin, ran after dogs, watched, rode a bicycle, kept watch. These monsters killed the best goat for him, and killed the rabbit when she was at the neighbors' mating. The hostess then came running with bulging eyes – 20 rabbits, along with a neighbor's female, were killed by three goats. The situation is the same: a powerful lock on the barn was uprooted.

Irina Petrova became the first victim of "bloodsuckers" this year.

The villagers applied to the local administration, but, according to them, no measures were taken, the authorities got off with only unsubscriptions.

— We really don't hope for the administration, what's the point, — says another victim of last year, Yuri Chugreev. - Many have simply stopped keeping cattle, it turns out that one rabbit costs 500 rubles, and where is the probability that it will not be eaten at night.

Locals joke bitterly, they say, it is necessary to buy guns and defend themselves. In the administration of Bolsheklyuchishchenskoye rural settlement, they think differently. They confirmed to us that there were many cases of attacks on pets last year, but measures were also taken.

— An agreement has been signed between the Ulyanovsk district and the organization "Ulianovskdorremservice", according to which last year they came and caught stray dogs, - says Olga Gorelova, an improvement specialist. – At the moment, the contracts have been terminated, the prosecutor's office is not satisfied that the disposal of animals is prescribed there, which is inhumane, they must be kept in shelters, so the contracts will be renegotiated.

Only now, while new documents are being drawn up, while shelters for stray dogs are being found, the inhabitants of Large Collarbones risk being left without livestock in their farmsteads.

As we were informed in the administration of the settlement, Irina Petrova's statement on the fact of an attack on pets was considered and the following decision was made.

— We submitted an application to Ulyanovsk Dorremservice, and they included us in the schedule, - says Olga Gorelova— - on Friday morning the trapping of stray dogs will begin. We will also have to call veterinary specialists for this time, so that they give conclusions on the spot whether the dog is subject to euthanasia or not, and what to do with the animals in the future
