In 1999, a resident of the Inuit settlement of Rankin Inlet, located on the coast of Hudson Bay, confirmed that he had seen amayuryuk and described her as a very large woman in an amauti of caribou deer. ‌‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‌‌‌‌ ‌‌‌‌‌ ‌‌‌‌
