This happened between 1986 and 1991. We lived then on the right bank of the Neva River, not far from the metro station "Dybenko Street" (28 Tovarishchesky Prospekt). One evening I stayed up late, copying lecture notes (I studied in absentia). It was already 2-30 a.m. I was sitting at the kitchen table with my head bent over a notebook, and suddenly I heard the dishes on the drying rack clink, I raised my head to the sound and looked in the direction from where it came, when suddenly I felt a slight prick, as if with a needle, in my right leg, just above the heel, in the ankle. I lowered my head to find out who it was that decided to "bite" me (there were no mosquitoes, because it was winter), when suddenly I saw a white ball the size of a tennis ball flying out from under the table. He slowly "floated" at a height of about 30 cm above the floor and, touching the opposite wall under the window, disappeared. I got the impression that they were trying to attract my attention with a sound, a prick, but maybe I'm wrong.
