The Amateur astronomer has made a unique picture of the Venusian "ring of fire"

Amateur astronomer Nicolas Lefto from the French town of forges-Les-Bains deprived telescope literally everything that could ignite.

"Watch out for Venus close to the Sun, is extremely dangerous, says Lefto. — Instead of trying to shade the Sun, I removed everything that could burn! Telescope tube was replaced with a metal rod, and the Sun focused on a glass prism which reflects the dangerous sun light from the camera. This allowed me to observe Venus passing very close to the Sun, only 36 arcmin from the solar limb!"

According to the astronomer, the clouds did not allow him to observe the planet when it was still closer to the Sun in the day, but he's still very glad to not have wasted your time and managed to safely capture the full ring of Venus.

The planet looked like a ring, as the bottom joint of its night side is facing the Earth. The sunlight coming through the edge of the atmosphere of Venus are outlined with a dark disc with a ring light. Pictures of the Venusian "ring of fire" is very rare, so here is a really unique shot!
