In Sumy flushed lake: environmentalists looking for a cause

The water in one of the lakes located on the territory of children's Park, was painted in pink color.

Local residents, frightened by the unusual color of the water, asked ecologists to understand the situation. In turn, environmentalists claim that observing such a phenomenon is not the first time – at least since the 2014 local ponds "turn pink" about twice a year. It is noted that a particularly intense, almost crimson, the color of the water becoming in the sun.

Locals suggest that the reason for the unusual phenomenon was someone's joke – say, somebody pours water in the pigment. Ecologists believe that the water in the lake turns pink due to the bloom of blue-green algae, because after sampling the water any harmful substances it was revealed not.
