A resident of Costa Rica, Antonieta Mora came across in the woods on a strange spider creature that was hiding behind the branches of a tree. The woman said she first thought it was a piece of moss, and then the mantis. But as it turned out - it was not the first and not the second.

Fortunately, she was able to capture a strange creature in the video. She later published it in the Facebook group dedicated to insects. There once was a scientist who identified the insect.

In fact, the mysterious creature turned out to be a cricket Markia espinachi. And its rod-like appearance is an excellent camouflage, which helps in the natural environment to hide from predators.
