The pilot of a USN Lieutenant Robert haven flying AD-4Q with a rate of 3,500 feet to the West, saw a glowing white object the size of 10-12 inches to the right at a distance of about 4,000 feet. He made a small turn to the left to be behind the object, but he flew over the plane. Haven made a sharp turn to continue, noting that the object was moving at about 900 mph.
