After midnight a strange object with multicolored lights was seen by soldiers, local police and local residents over Alexandria, Yorktown, Portland, Pendleton, Greenwood, Elwood, Tipton and Kokomo, all in Indiana. Observations lasted until almost 2 am.
1:51 a.m., Portland announced that the object still seen in the North-East, and that District 5 (area of Chernogorsk?) in Ohio discovered an object on the radar at a height of from 6000 to 8000 feet, but was unable to identify.
Bunker hill AFB was notified of the observations of the state police, and 319-I fighter perevalochnaya squadron searched the area with their radar equipment, but contact was not.
