Before the metro station of the same name opened in the Farrington area, this place was haunted by a bad reputation: crime reigned here and poverty flourished. Among the thousands of its inhabitants, one could meet many young girls who tried in every possible way to earn a living.
One of them, Ann Naylor, was a student of a mother and daughter who were engaged in making hats. The girl was very unlucky with her mentors, who turned out to be sadists, often starved her, and once even beat her to death. The women did not know what to do with Naylor's body, and at first decided to hide it in the attic. However, it soon became impossible to keep him in the house, and they decided to get rid of the corpse.
As a result, the women threw the remains of the girl into the sewer, on the site of which they later built a metro station. Surprisingly, the coroner, who once found them, ruled that the girl was not killed.
The case was closed, and it seemed that no one would remember about it anymore, if one day the daughter did not let slip about what she had done to one of her friends. She was sentenced to be hanged along with her mother, but this did not calm the ghost of Ann Naylor.
They say that if you are at Farrington station at night, you can hear her heart-rending screams.
