The Panama monster

In September 2009, the network appeared photos of some creatures, filmed in Panama, near the town of Cerro Azul. These photos were provided by the teenagers aged 14 to 16 years.

Version their stories about the mysterious discovery differ:

Version 1:

According to them, they are four (or five) were playing near a cave in the mountains of Cerro Azul, when they approached an unknown creature. Fearing that it will attack them, the teenagers beat him with sticks, threw the corpse in a puddle and left. They later came back and photographed the corpse.

Version 2:

The Teens were walking on the river. One of them stand in the water when he felt something grabbed his legs. Then he and his friends pulled him from the water and started throwing rocks and sticks at the creature, and when it ceased to give signs of life, realized that nothing of the kind had not seen before and took a picture.

Regardless of the version of the appearance of the monster, he was alive at the time of meeting with witnesses.

Later, the story broke in the Newspapers, and the creature got its name: "the Creature from Panama" (although, depending on the source, it was called the "Panama monster", "Panama ET", "Monster of Cerro Azul", "Blue stream Monster" and "Horror Blue hills").

The story quickly gained popularity, and there is another picture of the corpse of the creature has been subjected to decomposition and dry.

There were various theories about the origin of creatures, including the version that it was deprived of wool sloth, an alien creature unknown to science or creation.

The corpse of the creature was re-discovered four days later after his findings teenagers, and the biopsy was performed by the staff of the National environmental authority of Panama (ANAM). Biopsy has led scientists to the conclusion that the body is actually the remains of male burougolnogo sloth, species, common in the region.

André Sena Maia, a veterinarian who works at the zoo Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, explained that "most people know what a dead animal looks like, being in a dry environment," and argued that "the body must be stuck under water, and for gave the boys the false impression that it was alive."

The autopsy revealed that the body of the sloth have been dealt a severe injury, and Melquiades Ramos, a specialist from the Department of protected areas and ANAM', suggested that the body was in the water "about two days" before the discovery. Assertnull, probably due to the fact that it was submerged in water, which may lead to accelerated loss of hair, as a result making the skin smooth. Post-mortem bloating also contributed to the unusual appearance of the corpse. After the corpse was identified as sloth, his body was buried by the staff ANAM'.
