In the 2000s, Kim and Mike Smithmeyer got a stable job at the plant of Ford motors, bought a house in the nearby town of liberty, Missouri, and in 2003 they had twins, Dan and Randy. Family life was calm and happy. But that all changed when something terrible entered their lives and this was associated with their child.

"For the first time this happened in 2006, when the twins were three years," says Kim, "I was standing on the top floor and was holding Dan. He looked at the stairs and said, "Mom, there is someone down the stairs?".

Dan increasingly staged an angry tantrum, he misbehaved and did not obey. Kim as punishment sent him to the room and asked why he misbehaves. And one day the boy broke down and said, "I'm really tired of voices telling me to do bad things."

"What do you mean?", - asked his mother.

The boy looked down at his hands and said, "I don't want to repeat it because it's a bad word."

"You can trust me, if you feel bad. Can you tell me everything." - Kim said.

And then Dan said "the Voices tell me to kill you."

Excited Kim rose to his feet and said he was gonna go call my dad. When in walked Mike, Kim was sitting with her son on the bed and Dan was sitting on her lap.

And then Dan said loudly "I don't want to do that!".

"Someone, something said again"?, asked Kim.

"They told me to cut the head off that bitch," the quiet voice said Dan.

"I was in complete horror. Then Dan said that the voices told him that they killed Jesus. I couldn't understand where he picked up that we didn't watch horror movies".

The next day Kim brought the son to the psychiatrist and Dan was acting all day like normal and calm baby. At the reception, it was decided that Dan might need medication if his condition to deteriorate. On the weekend Dan was at grandma's and everything was fine. But when he returned to his house, it was bad.

"He couldn't stay in his room and again became nervous, and then he asked to sleep with me and said he didn't want to sleep in your own bed.
