Russell M. Peirce, architect, reported a circular object which turned at a right angle.
"The time was between three and four o'clock in the afternoon, and overhead the sky was clear. I stood in the back of the building the local high school, talking with two friends ... Suddenly we all heard a very loud deep roar of several engines, which are very rapidly accelerated, and then just as quickly disappeared.
The direction of the sound was from the sky and I instinctively turned my head and eyes up.
