A mysterious creature appeared in a small village in the ardèche, in the South of France. Today, experts believe that it is a lynx, but it's just a theory.

Une mystérieuse créature fait, depuis quelques jours, son apparition dans un petit village situé dans le département de l’Ardèche, dans le Sud de la France. Aujourd’hui les experts pencheraient pour la thèse du lynx. Mais il ne s’agit là que d’une théorie …
La première fois que l’animal a été vu, ce fut le mercredi 23 juillet 2014. Dès le lendemain, le maire de Saint-Clair, René Sabatier, a été assailli de mails et d’appels d’habitants ayant observé et même parfois photographié l’étrange mammifère. Ce dernier, accompagné de son premier adjoint, en a lui-même été témoin. Il raconte :
« J’ai reçu une lettre d’un habitant d’une commune voisine qui pense que c’est son chien qui a disparu. Les associations pour la protection des animaux sauvages m’envoient des courriers en me rappelant que le lynx est un animal protégé ».
Actuellement, aucun piège n’a été installé pour le capturer. En effet, les autorités compétentes souhaitent avant en apprendre davantage sur l’origine et l’espèce de l’animal :
« On attend des agents de l’Office national de la chasse et de la faune sauvage (ONCFS) qui vont passer demain (NDLR : vendredi 25 juillet 2014) pour essayer de récupérer des poils où l’on a aperçu l’animal. »
Dès que les traces laissées par la créature auront été recueillies puis analyser génétiquement, on devrait en savoir plus.
En attendant, les habitants n’hésitent pas à formuler leurs propres explications, comme le raconte un homme prénommé Maurice :
« Je l’ai appris en allant chez le boucher dans la commune voisine. On m’a dit qu’il y avait une hyène au village. »
Solange, une femme de 65 ans, ne se montre pas trop inquiète au sujet de cette bête :
« Si la bête vient chez nous, je le saurai car mon chien va aboyer. On ne sait pas si elle est dangereuse. J’espère qu’ils l’attraperont. »
S’agit-il d’un lynx ? C’est la thèse qui est retenue aujourd’hui. Si c’est bien le cas, alors ce serait la première fois qu’un tel animal est observé dans le Nord de l’Ardèche …
