The object hovering in the above picture, was seen and photographed by engineer R. M. Azevedo from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in the summer night, 1955. He and his wife and friends enjoyed the evening on the veranda overlooking the Guanabara Bay, when the imaged object was seen standing perfectly still in the sky Azevedo. He took a picture with a camera leica model f3 with lens summaron 35 f1 and kodachrome film type A, with an exposure time of 40 seconds, a distance of infinity, aperture fully open.
Color slide shows the moon behind some thin high cloud of fog, but the object obviously is under a haze. The moon sends a stream of reflected light down on the water of the Gulf, as well as the object. Azevedo and other observers watched the object until the picture was done, and saw him began to waver, and then quickly left in the direction of the mountains.
In the picture you can see the weak light the path on which the object moved out of sight Azevedo at the moment when photographed. In the picture were some military installations, so the slide was resting in his files for over two years.
