Initial data
An interesting phenomenon was observed on February 22, 1909 over Brest. In the morning when we have had clear weather in the North-Eastern side of the sky above the horizon, a bright shining spot, quickly took a V-shape. She visibly shifted from East to North. Shine it at first very bright, was reduced, and the size increased. After half an hour the visibility of the spots was very low, and after half an hour it disappeared completely. Both the length of its "branches" was huge.
According to M. Gerstein, the earliest known mention of this case, observations of anomalous atmospheric phenomena contained in the publication by A. Shmelev "Another mystery of the Tunguska meteorite" from the magazine "Tekhnika-molodezhi" (No. 11, 1980). Later the pre-revolutionary source of information was found.
It turned out that Brest does not imply Belarusian, and French. Interestingly, in those days, and almost there watching the strange meteor, which flew from the sea and was observed for several hours (until 4 am). If it was the same phenomenon I have described?
