Initial data
Six witnesses saw a gleaming metal object in the shape of a saucer with a diameter of about 3 feet (0.9 m) down over the lines of a high voltage buzzing sound.
When the object descended, landed and then with the speed of the shot flew up and to the East.
Investigators found the burned region with a diameter of 5 feet, but maybe it happened because of the activities of the farmer.

3:30 p.m. EDT. Six witnesses saw a shiny metal-like, saucer-shaped object about 3 feet in diameter descend from above high tension lines with a buzzing sound. The object gave off a red glow as it descended, landed, then shot back up and away to the east. Investigators found a 5-foot diameter burned area, but it was possibly due to a farmer burning brush.
