Initial data
Delton Schwantz, commercial pilot with 29 years of experience in the AAF/AF, with wife della and children Robert, Roger and Diane saw a bright white sharply outlined object in the shape of a rhombus (ratio of length and width of 4:1) at altitude W 15°-20°.
For a moment he stopped, and then moved in horizontal flight to the left, with a gradual rise in the South-West, dropped white "strips" of light descended vertically. He disappeared to the South at azimuth of 170°, up to approximately 30° - 45°.
George Larsen (Larson?) and Larry Ateof (pace?) were independent witnesses who were driving 20 miles to the West of Crosby near intersection of 5 and 85, and saw a large white light moving quickly from West to South. Rejecting a piece, the object suddenly disappears.
