25-year-old miner Romulo Velasquez saw a UFO land from which a strange creature appeared, tall and thin, to which the witness felt attracted, "as if by a magnet". As he got closer, the humanoid grabbed his right wrist, then he felt paralyzed and lost consciousness.
Neighbors, including police, saw the UFO maneuvering over the Poopo for several minutes at a low altitude, illuminating the village "like daylight". It rose and disappeared, emitting blue rays.
Velasquez was found paralyzed on one side as a result of a stroke caused by a brain hemorrhage.
There was a large patch of scorched grass at the landing site.
