Initial data
One of a series of four photographs of the day drive taken in a photograph near Cluj in Romania by Mr. Emil Barnea on 18 August 1968.
The weather was gorgeous, 36 C without wind, while Barnea and his friend Miss Matea strolled through the woods with a couple of friends. His friend shouted that she "sees something" and when he joined her, he also saw a large round metal object shining in the sun in the sky above the treetops.
Struck, Barney still remembered that he had a camera, and while the UFO was moving, slowly changing direction and increasing its brightness, and then suddenly accelerating until it disappeared on the horizon, he had time to take four photos.
According to him, the object was at an altitude of about 600 meters, given the angle of elevation in this photo 85 degrees, and 30 meters in diameter.
