A teenage boy who worked on a large ranch during the RAID somehow got lost from the rest of the team and wandered around the area for several days without food or water. He passed into the semi-conscious half-light between consciousness and unconsciousness.
At the time when he was in this state, he knew that there were several little people around him who were constantly helping him and giving him instructions.
They were finally able to get him out, and he finally made it to the Globe, about 50 miles from where he went missing.
They didn't give him food or water, but somehow he had the strength. He could clearly distinguish people, so he wasn't sure if they were "ghosts" or real creatures.
But he still managed to say a few words to them, and they in turn to him.
