A large number of witnesses, including police officers, FAA officials, US coast guard personnel and many other Muskegon residents, observed a brightly colored UFO around 21: 15 in the sky over this Michigan town.
According to most eyewitnesses, the object emitted a bright yellowish-white light and slowly moved across the sky.
Witnesses said the object appeared to stop and slowly change color at different times during the observation period.
The coast guard, which indicated that many of its employees witnessed UFOs, also indicated that channel 16, the UHF band used by the coast guard, was filled with a strong code signal that cannot be deciphered.
Government officials later said an investigation would be conducted and they were ordered not to comment on the case until it was completed.
