Initial data
The three sisters, who live on a farm about two miles southwest of Germantown, watched a brightly lit UFO near their home at dusk. For the first time, the object was seen hovering over the farm buildings of neighbors in the Southeast.
The girls described the object as a Crescent with a dark gray metal body. At first, there were two bright white lights on the ship, very similar to car headlights.
After flying for about 11 minutes, the object began to move slowly to the West. At that moment, the white lights disappeared, and blue, green, red, and white lights appeared all over the ship's rim. These lights resembled the running lights of an airplane, but they did not blink and were visible until the plane was out of sight.
Although the ship was silent while hovering, as it moved westward, a sound like that of a small plane was heard. However, the flight speed was about half that of a small plane.
The girls watched the device for about 15 minutes, and everyone had the opportunity to see it through 7×35 binoculars, and everyone was sure that it was not an ordinary plane. The distance from their home to the ship when it first became visible over the neighbors ' farm is about half a mile (0.8 km), and they estimated that the ship is about 50 feet (15.2 m) in diameter and about 200 feet (60.9 m) above the ground.

Summary: May 14, 1972; Germantown, IL
Three sisters who live on a farm about two miles southwest of Germantown, watched a brilliantly lighted UFO near their home at dusk. The object was first seen hovering over a neighbor’s farm buildings to the southeast. The girls described the object as being of half-moon shape with a dark gray, metallic body. At first the craft displayed two brilliant white lights described as being quite similar to car headlights. After hovering for about 11 minutes, the object began to move slowly to the west. At this point the white lights disappeared and blue, green, red and white lights appeared around the entire rim of the craft. These lights resembled aircraft running lights, but did not flash, and were visible until the craft was out of sight. Although the craft had been silent while hovering, when it moved to the west a sound similar to that of a small airplane was heard. However, the airspeed was about half that of a small plane. The girls observed the craft for about 15 minutes, and all had an opportunity to view it with 7×35 binoculars, and all were sure it was not an ordinary aircraft. The distance from their home to the craft when first seen above the neighbor’s farm buildings is roughly a half mile, and they estimated the craft to be about 50 feet in diameter and about 200 feet above ground.
