The witnesses lived on a mountaintop South of the city.
It was night and one brother outside was trying to shoot bats with a shotgun when they heard him yell for them to come out. They could tell by the tone of his voice that something was wrong.
It was dark with a scattered cloud cover, and the clouds were illuminated by a bright moon. Through the clouds, they saw a cigar-shaped object flying across the sky.
He was at the height of 25-30 ft (7.5-9.1 m) above the trees. It was silver with yellowish Windows. There were no visible engines, and it had some kind of capsules similar to those of the lunar lander.
There was no sound as it disappeared, flying South at about 5-10 mph.
The ship was about 30 to 40 feet (9.1-12.1 m) long and 8 feet (2.4 m) in diameter.
A few nights later, they watched TV, and because they lived in the middle of nowhere, my father would go outside to use the bathroom. But that night when he returned, he grabbed a .50-caliber flintlock and told the other brother to take a .12-caliber shotgun. The other brother and mother followed them to the porch, where their father told them to stay.
At a distance of 100 to 125 yards (90-112.5 m), eyes, hundreds of eyes, or the witness thought they were, were shining in the woods and trees. At first they thought they were opossums, but they didn't dare go into the woods to check.
The next night they slept, with the exception of the father who was watching TV and went back into the toilet. The younger brother remembers the father calling another brother again and grabbing a firearm.
Looking out of his bedroom window with his mother, they saw about 50 yards (45 m) from a row of peach trees, a shed and a garage, three pairs of eyes, larger than the ones they had seen the previous night. They appeared to be about 3 feet (0.9 m) off the ground. They were grouped together about 4 feet (1,,2 m) from start to finish.
His father pulled the truck out into the yard, just passing the stone wall separating the driveway from the yard, he turned on the high beam to try to see what it was, but the light wasn't bright enough. He started to walk towards them, but his wife shouted at him to stay away.
He stayed and, along with his other son, fired several shots into the eyes, which did not move.
The next night the eyes came back again, but this time on a stone wall, this time his father and brother emptied almost all the rifles they had in their eyes, and at some point the father came up and shot point-blank in the eyes or in the place where the body should have been. They never moved.
The next day, they took all the empty shell casings. My eyes didn't come back.

It was just over the top of the trees 25 to 30 ft in the air. It was silver in color with yellowish colored windows. There were no visible engines and it had what appeared to be some kind of pods like those of a lunar Lander. There was no sound at all as it disappeared flying towards the south at about 5-10 miles per hour. The craft was about 30-40 ft in length, and 8 ft in diameter. A few nights later they were watching television and since they lived out in the boonies the father would go outside to use the restroom. But on this night when he came back he grabbed his 50cal flintlock and told the other brother to grab the 12 gauge shotgun. The other brother and the mother followed them out to the porch where the father told them to stay. At about 100 to 125 yards away in the woods and up in the trees were glowing eyes, hundreds of eyes, or the witness thought they were. They first thought there were opossums but did not venture into the woods to check. The next night they were sleeping except for the father who was watching television and again went outside to use the restroom. The younger brother remembers the father again calling out for the other brother and grabbing some firearms. He started to walk towards them but his wife yelled at him to stay back. He stayed back and along with the other son fired several shots at the eyes which never did move. The next night the eyes were back again but this time on the stone wall, this time his father and brother unloaded almost every rifle they had at the eyes and at one point the father walked up and fired point blank into the eyes or where the body should be. They never moved. The next day they picked up all the empty shell casings. The eyes never returned.
